So the democrats care about the average person?

Image
So, the party that touts itself as for the average people, are really screwing it up for the country. People really have to choose between paying for gas to go to work  and feeding their families. The price of gas is literally insane. I filled up my tank for $88.78. WHAT!!!!?????? For a person not as fortunate as myself, this is the choice between work and feeding their family. How is that doing what's best for the average American? I had a conversation with a friend who said their kids were so excited about working for $16 an hour. However, they didn't realize that raise in minimum wage means food costs more to eat. Disillusionment is a real problem. Not knowing how business works is a dangerous thing not to know. Before you speak about a living wage or gas prices are acceptable, know that families are really struggling and democrat policies are not helping them.

Where's the outrage?

So for the first time in my life gas is above $5. WHAT? I can't believe it! I know part of it is greedy gasoline companies. However, the government has a huge part in this crisis. I say crisis because again there are families out there that now have to choose between gas and food for their families. How can they go to work AND feed their families at the same time. How many vacations are being cut short ir canceled because gas prices are eating into the fun funds. How are truckers doing it; eight miles per gallon. It will cost almost two times as much to go the same distance. Prices are going up because freight is costing so much more. Where is the government relief? The stimulus payments only made it easier for more people to stay home. Printing money like it was going out of style only lends itself to higher inflation. When is it going to end???

Another thought

What is the real impact of inflation.... families have to choose. Do we buy shoes or food. No more trips to the movies. Not being able to buy an ice cream treat. Maybe not being able to sign up for an extracurricular like soccer or baseball. Having smaller grocery hauls because prices of all items went up because of inflation. My husband buys granola from a particular store. It was $2.68 one week. The next week it was $3.18. 50 cents in one week. WHAT? 19% increase in one week? Inflation is never OK. Inflation means less  for everyone except those in power.

Introduction

I am a middle-aged wife and mother of four grown children who teaches the best kids in a public school and absolutely loves her job. I just want to put my thoughts out into the universe. No one needs to read this, but if you do, please know these are MY thoughts. Everything on here comes from my brain and my research. So here goes: We, in America, live in a capitalistic society. This means the free market and the economy are front and center. When the economy is healthy, it benefits everyone. There is money for many more programs than when it isn't.  There is a pride in earning your own money and being able to spend it as you wish, and not paying a boatload of taxes. When the economy is healthy, you don't have shortages. People are able to buy their wants, not only their needs. This isn't of course every family, as there are many families that are in dire need. But, I haven't heard of inflation moving in a truly long time. I certainly haven't thought of families ne
